Non-injection hyaluronic acid filler for wrinkles.

New generation of nano molecular hyaluronic acid, result of Japanese scientist Koichi Tanaka who won the Nobel Prize in 2002.

It is alternative to anti-wrinkle fillers. It contains 100 % Hyaluronic Acid. The product consist of hyaluronic acid powder and serum, which is used during the micro-needling treatment. Due to the small size of nanoparticles (from 2-4kDA), hyaluronic acid penetrates deeply into the dermis and removes wrinkles. The same result as when using single needle injections.

What is Nano Molecule?

Until recently, invasive methods, such as bio-revitalization and mesotherapy were considered to be the only way to deliver Hyaluronic Acid across the skin barrier.

Scientists at Forlle'd laboratories in Japan managed to reduce the size of HA molecules without disturbing their constituent subunit structure to a nano size (5nm), enabling the HA to cross the skin barrier deep into the dermal level.

This was measured and verified by applying mass spectrometry analysis, a method developed by dr. Koichi Tanaka, a scientist from Shimadzu, Japan who won the Nobel Prize for his discovery in 2002.

Hyaluronic Acid (HA) plays a vital role in the synthesis of extracellular matrix molecules and epidermal cell interaction with the surrounding environment. It modulates cellular immunity by preventing infections and impeding allergic phenomena. One of it's most important properties is that it can attach and hold large amounts of moisture; approximately 6 liters of water in just 1 gram.

Hyaluronic acid is said to be the ultimate solution for moisture retention of the skin. Youthful skin is hydrated because it contains large amounts of HA in the dermis. However as we age the amount of HA in the skin decreases.

The challenging characteristics of conventional HAs in the use of topically applied anti-ageing preparations has been that its molecules are 3 000nm in diameter, whereas the intercellular space is only 15 to 50nm and just 5 to 10nm at hyaline membrane. This makes it impossible for conventionally produced HA to penetrate into deep layers of the dermis.

What to expect when you come for this treatment?

When you come for this treatment we will double cleanse your skin and then apply topical anesthetic, and wait for 30 minutes. After that we will start the Hyalnano filling with Micro-needling Pen. Once is done, we will then apply recovery gel and sunscreen.

What is the treatment cost?

The treatment cost depends on the area being treated treated:

You can choose any of the facial areas and then add micro-needling for the rest of the face at R500, with any of our micro-needling mediums.

How often you should do this treatment?

It is recommended 3-5 treatments, each treatment 2-4 weeks apart depending on the needle depth being used for the treatment. We can create discount package on your request and combine this treatment with other micro-needling mediums.

How to prepare for this treatment?

6 MONTHS PRIOR

If you are taking Accutane, you should wait 6 months after you stop taking this medication, in order to do this treatment.

2 MONTHS PRIOR

If you are doing facial threading, it must be done 2 months prior micro-needling.

1 MONTH PRIOR

Dermal fillers, botox, microblading, fibro blast plasma facial, platelet rich plasma, IPL (laser) can be done 1 month prior micro-needling.

2 WEEKS PRIOR
Prepare your skin using the recommended skincare products. Avoid waxing, laser or IPL hair removal, depilatory creams and electrolysis. Avoid prescription retinol (topical vitamin A),alpha hydroxyl acid (AHA) beta hydroxyl acids (BHA), benzoyl peroxide (acne products) and Hydroquinone (whitening creams). No chemical peels or laser resurfacing treatments.

Avoid blood thinning agents (aspirin, fish oil, Omega-3, Vitamin E). May resume day after treatment.

Please consult with your doctor before you stop taking any medications.

3 DAYS PRIOR
Avoid excess sun exposure, solariums and fake tanning. No waxing, depilatory creams or electrolysis to area being treated. Do not take any anti-inflammatory medications such as ibuprofen, Motrin or Advil for 3 days prior to treatment. These agents will interfere with the natural inflammatory process that is critical and responsible for your skin rejuvenation.

2 DAYS PRIOR

No cosmetic injections in the treatment area. If you are prone to cold sores, take antiviral agent for 2 days prior to and day of treatment.

Avoid caffeine and alcohol for 48h before the treatment.

DAY OF TREATMENT

You will need to come with clean skin, without lotion, oil, makeup, powder, perfume or sunscreen, and to inform me of any relevant changes in your medical history and of all medications you are taking.

Aftercare

DAY 1-3
A sunburn -like effect is normal. The skin will feel tight, dry, sensitive to touch. Treat skin gently washing with a gentle cleanser, cool water, using hands only and pat dry no earlier than 4 hours after treatment. Wash your hands before you touch your face. Redness or sensitivity might be present. Sleep on your back with head elevated to minimize swelling. Don’t put on makeup, especially with a makeup brush that has been used before, in the first 48 hours following micro-needling. For the first few days after your micro-needling procedure, you’ll need to avoid any skin care product that contains harsh chemicals meant to exfoliate. Avoid anything that’s scented, and don’t use glycolic acid or alpha hydroxy acids.

Avoid direct sun exposure, hot showers, sauna, steam rooms and exercise. Commence a gentle skincare routine using the recommended products. Drink plenty of water to rehydrate your skin. The recommended recovery cream and SPF 50+ can be applied liberally every 4 hours.

DAY 2-7

Peeling may start 3-5 days after treatment. You will notice skin dryness and flaking. This is due to an increased turnover of skin cells. Do not pick, scratch or scrub at treated skin! Allow old skin to flake off naturally and keep moisturized AT ALL TIMES with Hyaluronic serum, for extra dry skin every 2 hours if needed.

DAY 5-7

You may restart your regular skin care products once your skin is no longer irritated. Avoid active products containing AHA/BHA or retinol (continue to avoid for 7 days).

Many patients have noticed continued skin improvement for months following the last treatment.

For best results, we recommend follow up and repeat treatments in 4-6 weeks and a series of 3-5 treatments depending on your personalized treatment plan.
